A MESSAGE FROM KAZI | Spiritual Director | Newark Center for Meditative Culture
I’m writing to ask you to consider making a donation to Newark Center for Meditative Culture (NCMC). We want to raise $3,000 in 6 weeks. Can you help us?
We want to raise this money to support operating expenses while bringing back in-person community gatherings and building up our new Booking Space at NCMC program and Spirit Culture Shop. This will help us keep our focus on providing creative programming and a new hybrid in-person/online way of working.
That is important because without revived and new sources of income we will not be able to keep our new home at 2 Park Place stabilized while we develop. And to develop we need an assured operating budget.
Yes, we have proudly received grants for programs in 2021 including a substantial grant to hold our first 3-day BIPOC mindfulness retreat in nature in 2022 for 40 participants. But, grants for operating expenses are hard to come by and covid has kept attendance at our programs low.
Because of donor support last year we were able to prepare and equip the Center. It’s now ready to set a welcoming tone in the heart of Downtown Newark — providing healing, educational, spiritual, meditation, stress resilience, and wellness programs — in-person, online, and hybrid.
With a donation of $5-$24 you can receive the gift of a One-Day Cleansing Meal Plan
As a local teacher following our work expressed:
We want you to feel a part of the change — small or large — whether through your donations, well-wishes, or engagement in our programs! We thank you for all your support.
Ib’nallah S. Kazi

ps. Our families, especially our youths, can deeply benefit from mindfulness, stress reduction practices, and frequent intentional experiences in nature. Will you donate now to help us ensure that we can provide life-changing programs to Newark, the Greater Newark Area, and beyond?
*NOTE: We want to raise $3,000 total including donations from our cooperative fundraiser with Uganda Buddhist Centre, Divine Abodes: Higher Mind & Ubuntu, a series of three Dhamma Talks and Meditations to be held on December 11, 12, and 18 at 1pm EST.
IMPORTANT: Remember to make a note when you are donating that it is for the “Winter Cleanse Fundraiser” and if you want a gift note “OPT IN“!
CHECK: Mail to Newark Center for Meditative Culture, PO Box 182, Newark NJ 07101.
